CandyCreeps and Amazing Arcana Released

Hey, look at that, not only did Amazing Arcana get done for GenCon, but Candycreeps got out in time as well!

Amazing Arcana is available here or at greenfairygames.com and CandyCreeps is available from the homepage, but should be set for pdf and other online ordering within the next week, with a free sample up over the weekend, probably.

I'll also try to get a GenCon post up here soonish.

In the meantime, I'm working on some expansion material for Personality Flaws. We're finding them to be a lot of fun in our game and I want to do a section on them in the Fae Noir Companion which is the next big FN project.

Current Events

So Amazing Arcana and another round of the core book are at the printer. In theory they'll be ready by GenCon even though the printer was dragging its (their?) feet on these jobs.
I was down at DexCon last weekend but had to leave after Friday because of a wedding. While the wedding was great, it's always sad to miss the big day of a convention like DexCon. I enjoy meeting people and talking about the games and, frankly, Thursday and Friday are usually kind of dead at DexCon.

I'm looking forward to GenCon a lot. I would live at GenCon if that were possible. In addition to Amazing Arcana, we're planning on premiering a game called Candycreeps, which can best be summed up as Tim Burton's high school. That's unsure at this stage however, because of production delays, so keep your fingers crossed.
There are a half-dozen sessions being run at GenCon and I believe the Thursday night one still has two open slots if you're attending the shindig and are interested in playing some Fae Noir for a few hours.

I'm trying to find some direction for this blog page other than just a news dispensary, so I may start posting design notes after GenCon when I'll be starting up work on, well, could be as many as 3 projects, depending on how well I can split my attention.

People Talking About Fae Noir

There's a thing over at Fist Full of Comics and Games where they're talking about The Spiderwicke Chronicles and then at about 17:30 they talk a lot about Fae Noir. It's a pretty interesting discussion and they refer to the fae as, well, the fae throughout, which is nice, even when they're talking about Spiderwicke critters.

Printer Update

Looks like we have another printer lined up so we'll have a full stock in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, it turns out I had more books than I thought sitting in the closet, so there's nearly enough to cover the distributor orders with those.
Very good. Hopefully this won't happen again, but I'm going to line up another printer or two just in case.

Print Difficulties

So, the last print run I ordered hasn't come through yet and we're now looking for a second printer who can get us a run of books fast. If you're having problems ordering or notice that the game is out of stock anywhere, that's what's going on as of this point. Here's hoping this gets fixed in the next day or two.

Is there anything anyone wants to see on here other than straight-up news? I'm willing to listen to suggestions as to what would make the GFG blog more useful for readers. Obviously extended conversations belong more in the forums, but if there's something you're dying to see, pop a comment on here.

Bored?

Why not check out the Green Fairy Games forums? Maybe jump in on the conversation where we're turning fairytales and noir into Fae Noir stories?

Here's me talking about Fae Noir for about half an hour with the good people at A Fist Full of Comics. It was a good time and I'm hoping to do some more podcasts soon.

Whoa

Didn't realize how long it had been since I posted.
Anyway, holidays are over and the posters are shipping to the distributor and myself. So, I believe we'll have those up for sale by next week. I have a t-shirt printer lined up as well. Does anyone want to offer feedback as to whether they prefer white or heather gray shirts?

As far as Amazing Arcana, we're still waiting on the art. Sigh.

New Year's resolution: find new ways to hurt artists.

In Other News I don't want to make any promises that can't be kept, but I believe that by the time GenCon rolls around, we'll have at least one new game, possibly two to show off. Cover art for those will be posted as we get it and the Amazing Arcana cover will be posted in the news section shortly.
